While former Syracuse drug kingpin Tyrone Hines was serving time in Pennsylvania’s Lewisburg Federal Prison, he took a class in script writing. He learned about story structure, dialogue and script formatting. He practiced writing scenes – first with a pencil and paper, then he’d type up pages on a prison typewriter.
