A Skaneateles mother has sued the school district claiming leaders and staff violated the mother’s right to freely exercise her religion and right to raise her child. She claims the district intentionally kept her child’s gender transition from her. The lawsuit cites school policy and statewide guidance as problematic for directing administrators and faculty to consider the student before the parent.
