ONEIDA – While the removal of a homeless group’s encampment Wednesday on Sconondoa Street drew the ire of some area residents, City of Oneida Mayor Rick Rossi assured the public it was done because that encampment had become “a public safety issue, not only for neighboring citizens, but for the people and animals in the encampment as well.”
