Kenny G riffs, romances Syracuse Jazz Fest crowd of 15,000 (photos, review)

One of the best-selling artists of all time kicked off a concert in downtown Syracuse very humbly. At 9:15 p.m., Kenny G simply stood up on a footstool in the middle of Clinton Square and started blowing into a saxophone. He was headlining Syracuse Jazz Fest, the largest free jazz festival in the northeast, but he was also just having fun, jamming with his friends of 40 years.
