SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Syracuse Police are putting you “On the Lookout” for the latest fugitive.

Maurice Kearse is a 44-year-old Black male who according to Syracuse Police has 53 prior local arrests. He is 6’3″ and weighs 230 pounds. Kearse has black hair and brown eyes.
A recent victim of Kearse (who has an order of protection from Kearse) reported that Kearse unlawfully entered her residence by removing a glass panel from the door subsequently reaching through and unlocking the door.
The victim stated that she attempted to call 911 to report the incident and while she was doing so, Kearse forcibly took the phone from her, preventing her from completing the call.
According to police, the victim reported that she then ran into her bedroom and locked the door and as she did so, Kearse removed an ethernet cable disabling her internet. Kearse eventually left the residence without further incident.
As a result of this incident, Maurice Kearse has an active warrant for Burglary 2nd degree, Criminal Contempt 1st degree, Criminal Mischief 4th degree, Larceny and Harassment
