SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Onondaga County Health Department released its inspection reports for restaurants checked from July 23 through Aug. 3.

Which food services passed or failed their health inspection: July 14 – 20

One food service received an unsatisfactory inspection:

  • Denny’s – 7873 Brewerton Road, Cicero

Another food service failed their inspection:

  • Ruby Tuesday – 6405 Yorktown Circle, East Syracuse

This restaurant received nine violations, none of which were in critical condition.

Food not protected in general: The inspector found several squeeze bottles of product stored in the prep-top portion of the reach-in cooler at the cookline were not labeled with contents.

Poor sanitary design, construction, installation of equipment and utensils: The inspector found several reach-in coolers in the kitchen and front service line areas with gaskets in poor repair.

Improper cleaning, washing and sanitizing of equipment and utensils: The inspector found the ice scoop holder near the front soda machine was not clean. The metal pan holding the ice scoop on top of the ice machine was not clean.
