The City of Syracuse will change garbage pickup days for 11,700 households, starting the week of Sept. 9, as part of an overhaul to improve efficiency. This adjustment, based on a data-driven analysis, will reduce routes from 15 to 12 per day, saving the city about $10,000 annually in fuel and truck maintenance costs.
