Syracuse, N.Y. – The case of a man accused of a Syracuse kidnapping is going to trial. Aweis Maalo was accused of and indicted on a charge first-degree kidnapping for going into a home at 707 E. Laurel St and holding a man at knifepoint to demand his cellphone, according to court papers.
