AUBURN, N.Y. – An incident in the recreation yard at Auburn Correctional Facility left nine corrections officers injured last week. In the south recreation yard of the maximum correctional facility last Wednesday, an inmate came up behind a sergeant and struck her in the back of the head, causing her to fall forward and strike her head on a metal fence post. The sergeant was left unconscious.
