Woman accused of fatal stabbing in Syracuse now faces murder charge

Syracuse, N.Y. – A 28-year-old woman accused of a fatal stabbing in Syracuse is now charged with murder despite her earlier claims that she acted in self-defense. Shandrika Kersey was arraigned on an indictment Wednesday. She is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Jermil Washington, according to the indictment.
