Update at 1:21 p.m. on 10-3-24: South Bay Road has reopened in all directions.
Update at 11:54 a.m. on 10-3-24: The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department stated that the accident that closed South Bay Road happened around 9 a.m.
The collision involved a motorcycle and a car. The motorcyclist was found deceased at the scene.
The Sheriff’s Office said this is an open and active investigation. No tickets have been issued so far.
The roads are still closed at this time.
CICERO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Cicero Police say a serious motor vehicle accident has closed roads in the area.
South Bay Road between Route 31 and Whiting Road is closed until further notice.
We do not know the extent of injuries or those involved. NewsChannel 9 is headed to the scene.
