SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) – After a pretty nice Sunday, it looks as though it stays dry and pleasant for late October Monday, but check out below what’s ahead…
Not as chilly overnight
A weakening backdoor cold front is delivering clouds and dissipating showers mainly north of Syracuse for the overnight.
Lows drop into the 30s to near 40 for most with patchy frost, but not quite as chilly as Saturday night.
Here comes another big warm up…
Despite the mid-fall chill in the air over the weekend, Mother Nature has plans for another BIG warm-up for Central New York and all of the eastern United States.
Jet stream winds aloft are pushing well north into Canada midweek, and down at the ground we get into a steady southwesterly breeze.
Tuesday is transition day
The transition day to the possible record warmth will be Tuesday with sun fading behind clouds for the afternoon and after 2 or 3 pm some rain is expected to push through. The culprit of the rain is a warm front that springboards us into the summery warmth.
