SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The 2024 presidential election set a record for the most number of early voters in Central New York, breaking records set in 2020.
Just under 80,000 people voted early across Onondaga County’s 10 poll sites. Nearly 60,000 early voters were tallied in 2020 when the county had six early voting polling locations.
The DeWitt Town Hall was the most popular early voting site, followed closely by the Camillus Fire Department.
In Oneida County, more Republicans took advantage of early voting than Democrats. In total, 27,000 voters took advantage of early voting. It was 17,000 early voters in 2020.
NewsChannel 9 has tabulated vote totals for each day based on data reported by each county’s board of elections:
Polls will be open again on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5 from 6am to 9pm. While any early voting site can be used by any registered voter in the county, Election Day polling sites are based on address.
