SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Excellus BlueCross BlueShield has come forward with an update on the negotiations between them and St. Joseph’s/Trinity Health and Family Care Medical Group.
NewsChannel 9 reached out wondering where they stood on the agreement. Excellus quickly wrote back, saying they were “optimistic that an agreement will be reached by the end of the year.” The statement was dated for the previous day, Nov 11.
Which was the day NewsChannel 9 learned that they worked out an agreement with WellNow Urgent Care regarding WellNow rejoining their network.
The response continued by saying, “Excellus BlueCross BlueShield believes that positive progress is being made in contract negotiations with St. Joseph’s Health (St. Joseph’s)/Trinity Health and FamilyCare Medical Group.”
NewsChannel 9 has reached out once more to ask for sit-down interviews with both St. Joseph’s and Excellus. We have yet to hear back.
