Syracuse (NY) Firefighter Bit in Face by Dog Rescued From House Fire

Syracuse, N.Y. – A firefighter was bit in the face by a dog Wednesday night trying to help the animal out of a house fire in Eastwood, firefighters said. Firefighters responded to the house fire in the 300 block of Forest Hill Drive around 10:20 p.m. after receiving calls that flames could be seen coming from the house, according to Nicholas Pagano, a deputy chief for the Syracuse Fire Department.
