Central NY man killed by Amtrak train in Manlius identified

Manlius, N.Y. — A man hit and killed by an Amtrak train in Manlius Friday night has been identified.

At 10:08 p.m., a 2019 Toyota Highlander driven by Abbas Alshannan, 19, became disabled on the train tracks on North Kirkville Road, according to a news release from Manlius police. Alshannan lives in the town of Clay.
