Cold, quiet Wednesday morning

Bundle up! Our temperatures are quite frigid as you head out the door Wednesday morning. The morning lows are anywhere from subzero to near 15 degrees. Brr! At least there is no precipitation to slow you down for the morning rush.

Our weather remains quiet for most of the day. Temperatures rise to up the lower 30s in the afternoon. The wind gradually picks up as well.

Wintry mix arrives Wednesday night

Snow showers develop as early as 2-4pm for areas west of Syracuse like the Finger Lakes. Snow heads towards Syracuse around sunset and come more widespread through the evening.

We are not expected this next storm to be a snow maker. Many will see a slushy coating to an inch or two of new snow. Your chances for 3 or more inches of snow increase the farther north you travel (like towards the Tug Hill Plateau and the North Country) where the air will stay colder longer…
