NY weather: Weather alert issued for heavy snow in New York Saturday morning

A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 3:21 a.m. for heavy snow until 6 a.m. for Oneida, Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga and Madison counties.

“A cold front moving southward will produce brief periods of moderate to heavy snowfall that will reduce visibilities down to a half mile or less at times. Up to an inch of snowfall is expected as this band moves through,” states the weather service.

Advance Local Weather Alerts is a service provided by United Robots, which uses machine learning to compile the latest data from the National Weather Service.
