Electrical malfunction sparks fire in Syracuse home

Syracuse, N.Y. — A fire broke out in a Syracuse home due to an electrical malfunction Saturday afternoon causing damage.

Firefighters arrived at 211 Washington Square around 2:36 p.m. and found smoke coming from multiple windows on the first floor, second floor and chimney, according to a news release from the Syracuse Fire Department.
