More than 10,000 without power in Central New York

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — National Grid is reporting more than 10,000 customers across Central New York are without power Sunday afternoon.

Below is a breakdown of the counties with the most customers without power as of 5:15 p.m.:

  • Cortland County — 378 (National Grid is currently assessing the condition)
  • Onondaga County — 8,388 (National Grid is currently assessing the condition)
  • Oneida County — 525 (Power estimated to be restored at 12:00 a.m. on Monday)
  • Oswego County — 3,548 (Power estimated to be restored at 12:00 a.m. on Monday)
  • Madison County — 3,637 (Power estimated to be restored at 12:00 a.m. on Monday)

Our crews are reporting a roof of a house being torn off in East Syracuse. There are also reports of stop light outages and wires being down in the affected counties.
