Craving some authentic Greek Food? Well, you’re in luck! Kalash Kitchen has opened up its fifth location right here on Main Street in Cortland, NY! With over 24 years of experience, try one of their signature dishes such as the Kofta Kabob Wrap, Baklava, and Jamaican Beef Patty, just to name a few.
The Kalash Kitchen has locations from Sayre Pa through upstate New York. Speaking with Leena Shuragali, a current student at SUNY Cortland, states the main reason they wanted to expand into the Cortland area was because of the college students. They have found great success in surrounding areas, in Horseheads and Owego.
Owned and operated by the indigenous Kalash people of the Himalayas, customers will receive purely authentic dishes, crafted with the freshest of ingredients to ensure an amazing dining experience. Their menu is not limited by any means, as they have traditionally Asian dishes, to platter specials, middle eastern foods like their falafel platter, American classics too, offering burgers and vegetarian items as well. And of course Greek specialties like their lamb platter and Baklava dessert.
Don’t forget to meet the Sauce man! Who’s the Sauce man? Sauce man, or Thalis Kalash, earned his nickname from the college students right here in town, “He’s like famous among them” said Shuragali.
Can’t make time to eat in? No worries! In addition to dine-in services, Kalash Kitchen offers delivery and takeout options through platforms like DoorDash and Grubhub. Doordash seems to be the most popular method and Shuragali’s recommendation for ordering delivery…
