DEWITT, N.Y. (WSYR) — Nearly 100 East Syracuse residents expressed their outrage during Tuesday’s, March 25, special board meeting for the Town of DeWitt, as board members discussed cutting ties with the East Syracuse Fire Protection District.

A few community members chose to partake in heated debates, questioning Town Supervisor Edward Michalenko about his ability to be honest before public comment began.
Over 10 East Syracuse residents publicly asked the board to postpone the dissolution of the district.
