Onondaga County Superintendent Jeremy Belfield to Resign

LaFayette Schools Superintendent Jeremy Belfield announced his resignation effective June 30, after serving in the role since 2017. Belfield will assume the position of superintendent at the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation (CiTi/Oswego County BOCES) starting July 1. He will be replacing Chris Todd, who is retiring. Belfield shared his decision in an email to the LaFayette school community, expressing that his time there has been a “deeply rewarding experience.”

Before his tenure at LaFayette, Belfield was the assistant superintendent for management services in the Mexico school district. He resides in Mexico, New York, and his daughter attends the Oswego County P-Tech High School. There is currently no information on who will succeed him at LaFayette Schools…
