SYRACUSE, N.Y. — City leaders tell the I-Team that they’re frustrated and shocked after hearing Syracuse Housing Authority Executive Director Bill Simmons say SHA was left out of negotiations on a deal.
The city is looking to funnel $2 million to the Housing Authority, so it can pay its developer to do necessary environmental testing related to the East Adams Neighborhood transformation project.
The money is coming from a $30 million pot reserved for the housing project that is running alongside the I-81 viaduct project in Syracuse…
