Attic fire damages home on Westcott Street in Syracuse

Syracuse, N.Y. — Firefighters quickly put out a fire that started in the attic of a Westcott Street home in Syracuse on Friday evening.

As firefighters pulled up to the home at 1108-1110 Westcott St. at about 6 p.m., they saw heavy fire coming from the attic, according to Zach Smith, a deputy chief with the Syracuse Fire Department.
