NORTH SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Egg costs are still high, and it’s putting a dent in bakeries’ budgets, especially with Easter this weekend. Bakeries aren’t hopping over egg prices.
“This is by far the highest it’s ever been,” said Pete Pappas, co-owner of Geddes Bakery in North Syracuse.
Costing Pappas a pretty penny. In just the last six months, Pappas says the cost for orders of eggs has doubled.
