Update at 8:20 a.m. on 4-16-25: Syracuse Police have come forward with an update on the earlier incident, calling it a fictitious bomb threat.
“ While every threat is taken seriously, it’s important to note that shopping malls and other high traffic public spaces are common targets for fictitious or non-credible threats. Nonetheless, our department follows strict protocols to thoroughly assess and manage each situation ,” said police.
No suspicious devices were found, and there is no danger to the public. …
