Police pursuit ends in arrests after two-day chase across New York

Lake George, NY — A high-speed chase involving multiple law enforcement agencies concluded with the arrest of two suspects following a series of events that spanned two days across New York.

On April 16, 2025, at approximately 11:16 PM, State Police responded to State Route 190 in Plattsburgh to assist the United States Customs and Border Protection with a vehicle pursuit. Authorities observed a gray 2019 Chevrolet speeding southbound. The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, State Police, and Customs and Border Protection pursued the vehicle, which lost control near the intersection of State Route 190 and State Route 374, exiting the roadway.

Two suspects fled into a wooded area, prompting a foot pursuit. The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department apprehended one suspect, identified as 25-year-old Peter Ibrahim Habib Soliman of Staten Island, NY.
