SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The New York State Department of Transportation wants to alert drivers of lane closures along Interstate 81 in the Town of Salina starting Monday, April 21.
NYSDOT said the closure is to facilitate the painting of the Airport Boulevard bridge.
The following lanes will be closed:
- I-81 northbound will be reduced to one lane between Exits 27-28 (Syracuse Airport / N Syracuse) and the on-ramp to I-81 northbound from the service road, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays.
- I-81 southbound will be reduced to one lane between Exits 27-26 (Mattydale/Syracuse Airport) and the on-ramp to I-81 southbound from the service road, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays.
