Syracuse, N.Y. — The uncle of a young girl killed in Syracuse told the court his family worked hard to make sure they all stayed away from guns and the violence that comes with them.
“My grandfather was so dedicated to making sure we stayed away from guns growing up that we weren’t even allowed to have a water gun fight in our family as kids,” prosecutor Rob Moran read in a letter from Sean Herndon.
