Skaneateles, NY – The town of Skaneateles has passed a new local law banning heavy trucks from using its town roads to cut through the community.
The law prohibits trucks weighing more than five tons from driving on any town roads that connect with a county or state road, unless they are traveling for local deliveries, said Skaneateles Town Supervisor Christopher Legg. That includes 32 roads.
