Syracuse, N.Y. — Imagine a place where you could bring an empty detergent or hand soap container and walk out with it refilled.
That’s the promise of a new store in Syracuse, the Eastwood Refillery, the city’s first shop dedicated to selling sustainable and nontoxic household products and refills. It opened its doors in mid-April.
A refillery is a retail store where customers can fill empty bottles with various household items, from cosmetics to laundry detergent. At the Eastwood Refillery, customers can bring used containers from home or purchase new ones at the shop.
