$13M transformation of Syracuse office building into apartments gets county grant

Syracuse, N.Y. – The $13 million transformation of a nearly 100-year-old downtown Syracuse office building into apartments is getting help from Onondaga County in the form of a $325,000 grant.

County Executive Ryan McMahon announced the grant Wednesday at a press conference in the lobby of the building at 250 Harrison St.

The money will come from the Onondaga County Housing Initiative Program (O-CHIP), which offers grants to private sector and nonprofit developers to close funding gaps and stimulate investment in new housing units…
