Things are looking up in the city of Syracuse. The Interstate 81 removal project is in full swing, new restaurants are popping up all over the city, preparation for Micron has started, and the city population increased for the first time since 1950.
Yet, Syracuse remains plagued by many problems. The city has the worst childhood poverty rate in the nation, and family homelessness now outpaces individual homelessness. Instead of fighting for the working people of Syracuse, our government is dragging its feet on tenant protections like Good Cause Eviction in favor of defending landlords, some of whom don’t even live here…
