Popular rock band 3 Doors Down has canceled its summer tour, including a planned stop in Syracuse after lead singer Brad Arnold announced he has stage four kidney cancer. The band was set to perform with Creed at the Empower FCU Amphitheater at Lakeview on Friday, July 11. However, Arnold’s diagnosis of clear cell renal carcinoma, which has spread to his lungs, has forced the band to cancel their appearances.
Arnold, 46, shared the news in a heartfelt video message, expressing his faith and lack of fear despite the serious diagnosis. “We serve a mighty God, and He can overcome anything,” Arnold said, asking fans to keep him in their prayers. He also referenced the band’s hit song, “It’s Not My Time,” as a source of personal inspiration during this challenging time.
