Deputies responding to a domestic violence call in Sennett found themselves in a physical struggle with the suspect before taking her into custody.
Gabrielle D. Hidy, 26, was arrested by members of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office on May 3 following an investigation into a reported altercation at a private residence. She was charged with unlawful imprisonment in the second degree, criminal obstruction of breathing, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and resisting arrest, all misdemeanors.
According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, Hidy engaged in a verbal and physical dispute with another individual. During the confrontation, she allegedly held the victim in a way that restricted their breathing and prevented them from escaping or calling for help.
