Man arrested after multi-county pursuit, charged with unlawful fleeing

Cayuga County, NY (WRGB) — Terrance Dexter was arrested on May 10, 2025, following a high-speed chase that began after a domestic dispute in Auburn on March 27, 2025. Sheriff Brian Schenck reported that Dexter was charged with Penal Law 270.25, unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third degree, and received multiple traffic tickets, including reckless driving.

The incident began around 4:30 AM when deputies were alerted to a physical domestic dispute in Auburn. The suspect, Dexter, fled the scene in a vehicle heading north. Deputies located the vehicle on Turnpike Road in the Town of Sennett, but Dexter continued to evade police, driving into Onondaga County.
