SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A rally was held by TCGPlayer employees and union leaders in front of the warehouse in Downtown Syracuse.
This follows TCGPlayer’s announcement last week, that the company would be closing their Syracuse warehouse and moving to Louisville, Kentucky. Employees found out that they were getting laid off right around the time the rest of the community did. This came as a surprise to workers, after persistent promises that this would not happen. Around 220 employees are being let go.
The crowd at the rally was full of emotion from employees and union leaders. People in the crowd were explaining how people at work feel more like a family and they’re sad they have to let it go…
