After criticism over handling of a student’s threats, J-D is considering weapons detection system

DeWitt, NY – Jamesville-DeWitt, which has faced criticism this school year from parents for its handling of repeated threats from a student to staff members, is considering installing a weapons detection system.

Jamesville-DeWitt is in the early stages but is “seriously considering” installing a system, Superintendent Peter Smith said.
