Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse’s watchdog over the police department has taken a critical step in resuming normal operations with the hiring of a new administrator.
Nolita Tanyhill, a 17-year civilian employee in the Syracuse Police Department, has started work as the day-to-day leader of the city’s Citizen Review Board. The CRB has been without an administrator or any other full-time staff since September.
