NAACP calls for emergency shutdown of Musk’s supercomputer

The NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) has urged local regulators to halt Elon Musk’s supercomputer project in South Memphis, citing violations of environmental regulations. In a letter sent Thursday to Shelby County officials, the civil rights organization called for immediate action.

The letter – which can be read in full here – was addressed to Dr. Michelle Taylor, director of the Shelby County Health Department, and to the commissioners of Memphis Light, Gas and Water.
