A rainbow over City Hall: Syracuse honors Pride Month with flag raising

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — They say to get a rainbow… You need a little rain .

Under rainy skies and the watchful eyes of neighbors, the pride flag once again rose above Syracuse City Hall. A powerful symbol marking the start of Pride Month.

“It’s symbolic. That flag might look like a big piece of fabric to a lot of people but to us it means something. We fly it over City Hall every year and we put it up June 1 or sometime around June 1 and it shows how united and how much pride we have,” said President of CNY Pride Jimmy Monto…
