Syracuse housing town hall to focus on renters’ rights and affordability

Housing in Syracuse is in crisis right now, with more than half the population living as tenants. Some are in overpriced housing, others are in slum lord situations, and many are outpriced and homeless.

Wednesday, June 4, at 6:00 residents get a chance to hear where city politicians running for office stand on renters’ rights. Deputy Mayor Sharon Owens, Councilor Hanah Ehrenreich, and Councilor-at-Large Amir Gethers are confirmed to participate.
