HAMILTON, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Just like Bernie Madoff, Burt Marshall was a well-respected figure in his community and trusted by generations of families with their hard-earned life savings.

“We all looked at him like he was the face of Hamilton,” said Michelle Coon. “We looked up to him. He was a good guy.”
