LaFayette, N.Y. ― A Syracuse man was charged with assault and DWI after troopers say he attacked a woman in his car while he was driving down Interstate 81 Sunday night.
The woman called 911 for help, troopers said. Dispatchers heard her screaming and she told them she was in a black Chevrolet Malibu on the highway, they said.
Then the call went dead…
