NEW YORK (PIX11) — Checks for school tax relief will be mailed out this week to New Yorkers, according to Gov. Kathy Hochul.
Over one million New York City and Long Island homeowners or seniors are eligible for a credit between $350 and $1,500 through the New York School Tax Relief (STAR) program.

The STAR program, which consists of a pool of $2.2 million for all of New York, gives property tax relief to those eligible statewide, Gov. Hochul said.
