18-year-old charged with attempted murder in shooting of 3 kids on Syracuse’s North Side

Syracuse, N.Y. — An 18-year-old was charged Friday in the drive-by shooting that wounded three kids on Syracuse’s North Side Monday, police said.

Nakise Elliott was charged with second-degree attempted murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to Kieran Coffey, a spokesperson for Syracuse police.

He’s accused of shooting a 9-year-old boy in the arm, an 8-year-old boy in the buttocks and a 12-year-old boy in the foot at Knaul Street and Hier Avenue, Coffey said. The shootings took place at about 8:40 p.m. Monday…
