SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse Police Department’s Chief of Police Joseph Cecile answers law enforcement questions from viewers to increase transparency and community relations.
This week, Chief Cecile discusses new efforts to increase safety at city pools after a 15-year-old was shot and killed at Onondaga Park Pool last week.
Chief Cecile said they have put together a detail at the request of Mayor Ben Walsh that will involve officers roving from pool to pool. He said they will stop at the pool and speak to the lifeguard on duty about any concerns. They will oversee the parks where the pools are located as well…
