Attorney general takes down transportation companies for defrauding Medicaid

NEW YORK – Five Hudson Valley transportation companies have been charged with stealing from Medicaid by making up fake bills and overcharging Medicaid for transportation services to clients.

U.S. Trips and Trade based in Westchester County paid $500,000 to resolve allegations that it submitted inflated and fake bills for reimbursement from Medicaid.

Buzz Transport of Hudson paid $364,000 to resolve allegations that it submitted claims to Medicaid for fake tolls…
