SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV)—What was supposed to be a simple visit turned into a costly and frustrating ordeal for one Central New York man, who said a rotted tree fell from school property and destroyed his car.
John Merrill had parked in a friend’s driveway on David Drive in North Syracuse the evening of Friday, July 4. But when he walked outside the next morning, he was met with a scene that stopped him in his tracks: a massive tree had crashed down on top of his vehicle.
